Gorselands Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care to up to 40 people aged 65 and over in an adapted country house setting. At the time of inspection, the home was supporting 39 residents.

The home had robust safeguarding systems in place, with staff trained to report concerns about abuse. Risks were regularly assessed and mitigated to minimise harm, and the premises were safely maintained with equipment serviced as required. Recruitment processes had improved, ensuring staff were safely appointed.

Medicines were managed safely with errors reported and reviewed, and infection prevention and control practices were strong.
