Glebe Villa

Glebe Villa provides accommodation and personal care for up to seven people with learning disabilities. At inspection, six people were in residence. The home has made improvements in enabling people to have maximum choice and control of their lives, with staff supporting them in the least restrictive way possible. Policies and systems now reflect person-centred practice, and the use of restraint has significantly reduced since the last inspection, with staff adopting more appropriate approaches.

Staff have received training in restraint and safeguarding, though further development is needed in areas such as supporting people with learning disabilities and dementia. Records kept at the home, including incidents, accidents and restraint use, have improved. People have access to health care professionals to support their wellbeing and health needs.
