Elysian Villas

This residential care home provides personal care to up to 12 people with learning disabilities and complex needs. At the time of inspection, ten people were living at the service across three separate houses on the same site, each able to meet a wide range of needs and abilities. The home has implemented creative solutions to help residents maintain contact with friends and family, including purchasing smart display devices such as Echo Show. Clear guidance is provided to visitors before arrival, with information about requirements and PPE supplied where necessary.

Staff demonstrate strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices, with all staff having received additional training in this area and training in RESTORE2 underway. The home uses Sunflower lanyards and exemption cards to support people unable to wear face masks when in the community. Staff understand zoning and cohorting principles and are prepared to implement these measures in the event of an outbreak.
