A targeted assessment was carried out following concerns raised about staff culture, focusing on safety. The CQC found the home was meeting expectations, with a registered manager and deputy manager in post and enough staff available to respond to people promptly.

People and relatives spoken to were happy with the care provided. Inspectors found staff to be kind, caring and reassuring, including with people living with dementia who were unsettled. Relatives said they felt able to raise any concerns and found the manager approachable, supporting the overall Good rating.

We carried out this targeted assessment due to concerns we had received about staff culture. We assessed 3 quality statements under the safe key question. At the time of our inspection there was a registered manager in post who was supported by a deputy manager. We spoke with 5 people and 2 relatives who were all happy with the care and support they received. We observed there were sufficient staff available to respond to people in a timely way.
