Gerard Road

Gerard Road is a residential care home supporting people living with learning disabilities. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding a strong learning culture where concerns were taken seriously and incidents thoroughly investigated. Inspectors found risks were well managed, staffing levels and skills were appropriate, and medicines were handled safely, with only minor cleanliness issues that were resolved straight away.

People spoke positively about feeling safe, involved and understood by staff, with strong support to access the community and take part in activities they enjoyed. Relatives were complimentary about the care their family members received. The service was assessed against "right support, right care, right culture" guidance and found to meet expectations across all areas.
