Orchid House

Orchid House provides accommodation and personal care for up to four people, designed to look like a regular residential home to help residents feel fully integrated into the community. Three people were living at the home during the inspection, with one person temporarily in hospital.

The service demonstrated good practice in infection prevention and control by accessing the government testing scheme, which helped them promptly identify an outbreak. Staff worked effectively with the local authority infection prevention and control team and other health professionals to manage the situation appropriately.
