Dr Anderson Lodge

Dr Anderson Lodge is a nursing and residential care home providing support to older people living with dementia and with nursing needs. The CQC rated the service Good overall, following a comprehensive assessment. Inspectors found care plans were detailed, person centred and followed consistently, staff were recruited safely, and medicines were generally managed well, though some improvements were needed around applying and rotating topical patches, which the registered manager addressed quickly.

People and relatives told inspectors staff were kind, attentive and respected dignity, and call bells were answered promptly day and night. Leaders showed strong governance, clear oversight and a culture of continuous learning. People and families reported feeling safe and well cared for, with confidence in the registered manager.
