Adeline House Care Home

Adeline House is a residential care home in Doncaster providing care and support for younger and older people, including some living with dementia and some receiving nursing care. The home can accommodate up to 37 people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement, a fall from its previous Good rating, after finding a breach relating to good governance, with accidents and incidents not always analysed to identify patterns and some safety issues in the environment.

Inspectors found people were treated kindly and had access to healthcare and activities, though staff were sometimes task-focused. Relatives gave mixed feedback, with some feeling reassured and others concerned about staffing levels, communication and equipment such as sensor alarms not being in use. Medicines were managed appropriately, though recording could improve.
