Downham Grange

Downham Grange is a purpose-built home providing residential and nursing care to adults, including some people living with dementia, and can accommodate up to 63 people. The CQC found the home requires improvement, with medicines not always well managed, gaps in staff training, inconsistent care records and weak governance oversight. It was in breach of regulations relating to safe care, staffing and good governance.

Inspectors found people were cared for kindly and treated with dignity, in a clean, well-maintained environment with good activities and nutritious food. Relatives and healthcare professionals spoke positively about staff. The provider responded promptly to concerns raised, and the home is no longer in special measures.
