Orchard House Care Home

Orchard House provides personal and nursing care to 47 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 67 residents. Staffing levels in one area of the home were sometimes insufficient, putting people at risk of not receiving timely care. However, residents were happy with the home and the staff who care for them, feeling safe and supported.

Staff demonstrated knowledge of how to report potential harm, and the home actively assessed and reduced risks for residents. Equipment was available to help people maintain independence where possible. The provider conducted thorough recruitment checks before new staff members began work.
