Glennfield Care Home

Glennfield Care Centre provides accommodation and nursing care for older people, with 70 residents at the time of inspection. The service implemented robust COVID-19 safety measures including hand washing protocols, temperature checks for all visitors, and regular testing for staff and residents. Anyone showing symptoms received immediate testing with results available within 30 minutes. Staff wore full personal protective equipment when supporting residents, with barrier nursing practices in place to protect both staff and residents regardless of COVID-19 status. Several staff members chose to live permanently at the home, which helped maintain adequate staffing levels and provided reassurance to those with vulnerable relatives.
