De Lucy House is a purpose-built residential home providing personal care to up to 60 people aged over 65, including those living with dementia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At the time of inspection, 42 people were resident. The home maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene with enhanced cleaning schedules that are frequently checked, and has established robust infection control procedures that staff understand and adhere to.

Staff receive relevant training in infection control with their competencies regularly assessed. Information on best practice, including hand hygiene and PPE procedures, is displayed throughout the home to reinforce safe practices. Staff were observed wearing PPE appropriately, with sufficient supplies available in designated areas.

Individual risk assessments have been conducted in consultation with residents and their representatives.
