Chestnut Lodge accommodates 60 older people and people living with dementia, with 57 residents at the time of inspection. Risk management for residents with known health conditions such as diabetes was inadequate, with assessments failing to provide staff with necessary information and not consistently reflecting current needs. PRN (as-needed) medicines were prescribed without clear evidence of effectiveness or proper recording to document why they were given or their outcomes. PRN protocols were not established for all medicines, creating gaps in medication management and accountability.
