Chatterwood Nursing Home

Chatterwood Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care to younger and older adults, including people living with dementia or a physical disability. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found governance and record keeping had improved since the last inspection but remained inconsistent, with monitoring records not always reflecting care given and a new breach found around notifying the CQC of safeguarding events.

Despite this, staff were described as kind, attentive and knowledgeable about people's needs, with strong relationships between residents, families and staff. People felt safe, enjoyed nutritious food, and had good access to activities and healthcare. The home was clean, well maintained and suitably staffed, though a permanent registered manager was still being appointed.
