Chatterwood Nursing Home

This nursing home accommodates up to 37 people aged 65 and over across two floors in single or double rooms, most with ensuite facilities. At the time of inspection, 18 people were resident at the service. People and relatives reported feeling safe in the home's care. However, inspectors found that incident reporting required improvement. Not all incidents were consistently identified or investigated to ensure people's safety and to inform learning from events. Records of incidents where staff had supported people in their best interests when they were resistant to care did not always explain how this support was provided. The monitoring systems in place had not identified these incident reporting gaps, though the provider took action to address this once identified. The home had begun collecting feedback from residents, relatives and other professionals.
