Casterbridge Manor

Casterbridge Manor is a residential care home in Cerne Abbas, Dorset, providing personal and nursing care to up to 64 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, 53 people were living there. The CQC rated the home good overall, an improvement from its previous requires improvement rating, finding that earlier concerns had been addressed and the home was no longer in breach of regulations.

Inspectors found a positive culture where people and relatives felt listened to, with incidents investigated and lessons learnt to drive improvement. People said they felt safe and well cared for, and relatives praised the kindness and approachability of staff and management. Feedback described strong relationships, good communication, and care that consistently met people's individual needs.
