Caldy Manor provides residential care and accommodation for up to 38 people, though 16 were living there at the time of inspection. The home has clear procedures for safely admitting residents and ensures people and relatives understand infection prevention measures. Staff provide dedicated support time including activities, and the home maintains a clean, hygienic environment with extensive testing programmes in place for staff, residents, and visitors. Personal protective equipment is widely available and used correctly. During the pandemic, the service helped reduce isolation by facilitating safe supervised visits alongside video and telephone calls with friends and loved ones, while also supporting staff wellbeing through consideration of their isolation and sickness absence needs.
