Brook Care Home

Brook Care Home is a residential care home in the Requires Improvement category, supporting older people living with dementia and mental health conditions. Inspectors found three breaches of regulations covering safe care and treatment, staffing and governance. Medicines were not always given when needed, staff had not received regular supervision, appraisal or training, and audits were not effective in identifying problems.

People and relatives said staff were kind and they felt safe, and food was well liked, but activities and outings were very limited. A new manager had recently started and was seen as bringing improvements, with external support in place to strengthen oversight.
