Braemar Lodge Residential Care Home

Braemar Lodge Residential Care Home provides personal care and support for up to 17 older people, including those living with dementia, in an adapted building over two levels with an enclosed garden. It does not provide nursing care.

The CQC found the service was performing well overall, having addressed earlier concerns about governance, dignity and respect. People and relatives spoke positively, describing the home as friendly and safe. Care plans were person centred, staffing levels were appropriate, and medicines were managed safely.

Staff treated people with kindness and respect, and the registered manager had effective systems in place to monitor and improve the service.
