Brockshill Woodlands

Brockshill Woodlands provides personal care to older people, people with physical disabilities, and people living with dementia. At inspection, 23 people were using the service, with capacity for up to 30. People felt safe due to their confidence in staff and the ability to raise concerns openly. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities and took appropriate action when abuse was suspected. Risk assessments were completed with management plans in place to reduce avoidable harm.

Staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs, and recruitment processes included appropriate safety checks before employment. Staff received training in medicine management and administered medications safely. People's needs were assessed before admission, and staff had the training and support required to meet their needs effectively. The service supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive practices in their best interests.
