Sycamore Cottage Residential Home

Sycamore Cottage is a residential care home accommodating up to 14 people who require personal or nursing care, including both older people and younger adults. At inspection, 13 people were using the service.

The kitchen was found to be old and unable to consistently meet expected food hygiene standards. The provider had ordered a replacement kitchen and was awaiting delivery and installation dates. Safety checks and routine maintenance were being carried out to ensure the premises and equipment remained safe to use, and the provider was in the process of refurbishing and redecorating the building.
