Briarcroft Care Home accommodates up to 21 older people living with dementia, with 20 residents at the time of inspection. The service provides residential care and accommodation as part of a single contractual agreement.

Inspectors identified significant concerns about environmental safety and maintenance. Fire safety risks had not been properly identified, with parts of the premises visibly dirty and in poor repair. Equipment was not well maintained.

The home's governance systems had failed to identify these issues, prompting inspectors to contact the fire service to conduct their own inspection of the premises.
