The White House

The White House provides personal care for up to 22 older people, with 20 residents at the time of inspection. Some residents are living with dementia. Five self-contained flats are attached to the service, allowing residents to live more independently while remaining supported by staff and able to access communal areas of the main house.

The service has robust systems in place to manage risks associated with residents' care. Specialised risk assessments are completed before anyone moves into the self-contained flats and are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain current and that residents can continue living safely. The home assesses residents' capacity regarding their decision to live in the flats, ensuring choices are made with appropriate support and safeguards.
