Brendon Lodge is a residential care home for up to 9 people, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disability or sensory impairment. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found staff kind and person-centred, with people supported to make choices, take part in activities and stay connected to family.
Risk assessments were tailored and the environment was clean and safe.
Relatives felt their loved ones were safe and well cared for, though some raised concerns about recent staffing changes unsettling the service, which the registered manager acted on. The CQC identified one breach: the provider had not always notified it of safeguarding incidents, despite alerting the local authority appropriately. An action plan has been requested.
