About Cornerleigh

Cornerleigh is a residential care home in Hampshire, providing support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Cornerleigh, in Hampshire, provides accommodation and personalised support for people with a learning disability and autistic people, caring for 10 people at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the home Good overall. Inspectors found staff knew people well, supported their independence and community access, and maintained a positive, open culture where people and relatives felt safe and valued.

However, the CQC found governance systems did not always effectively identify and address gaps in medicines management, infection control, environmental safety, Mental Capacity Act compliance and record keeping. No evidence of harm was found, and leaders responded promptly to concerns raised during the assessment, but oversight was not always robust enough to fully assure consistent practice.
