Braeside Care Home brings nursing care to the community of Rochdale, offering families in the area a local option for their loved ones. The team at Braeside aims to create a comfortable, homely environment where residents can feel settled and supported day to day. For families beginning the search for nursing care, having a home close to familiar surroundings can make a real difference to everyone involved.

Braeside Care Home accommodates up to 36 people, with 18 residents at the time of inspection. The home provides nursing and personal care to its residents.

Staff aimed to support residents with maximum choice and control over their lives, working in ways that were least restrictive. However, inspectors found that policies and systems did not always support this practice effectively. There were concerns about whether the home was meeting requirements of the Mental Capacity Act, and records relating to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards were incomplete.
