Beacon House

The following is CQC's published account of its assessment, published 19 March 2025. References to “we” mean CQC. It describes findings at that time.

Beacon House is a residential care home. They provide support for up to 5 people who may have a learning disability or a diagnosis of autism. At the time of our assessment 4 people were using the service. The accommodation is in the community with good links to nearby parks, shops and other community facilities for people to access. We carried out our on-site assessment on the 12 and 14 February 2025. Off site assessment activity started on the 11 February and finished on 24 February 2025. This assessment was completed to follow up on the last assessment and to see if improvements had been made. The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to safe care and treatment, staffing and need to consent to care and treatment. Improvements were found at this assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of regulations. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found the service was working within these principles.
