About Berkeley Park

Berkeley Park is a nursing home in Wigan. The findings below set out what the Care Quality Commission found on its most recent inspection.

Alexandra Court is a purpose-built intermediate care home on two levels providing short-term assessment and rehabilitation for people transitioning from hospital or referred from the community. The service supports up to 40 people and was caring for 35 residents at inspection.

During the inspection, environmental concerns were identified and managers immediately implemented action plans to address them. Safeguarding procedures were appropriate, with staff trained to recognise and report issues. Medicine management systems operated safely with staff completing relevant training.

Individual risk assessments were regularly monitored, and appropriate health and safety certificates were in place. Infection control measures and safety protocols were established to protect residents throughout the home.
