Westwood Lodge

Westwood Lodge is a purpose-built home providing nursing and personal care for up to 76 people in single rooms with shared lounges and dining areas. The service comprises a main two-storey building and an adjacent single-storey building called Westwood House, set within its own grounds with gardens and parking facilities. At inspection, 75 people were using the service.

The home maintains systems to safeguard people from abuse, with risk assessments and safety measures in place to minimise harm. Staff manage medicines safely and follow infection prevention and control guidance. Staffing levels are sufficient to meet people's needs, with safe recruitment practices in place. All staff complete an induction programme and receive ongoing training throughout their employment. Care plans are individualised and include detailed information about support needed in areas such as nutrition, mobility and personal care.
