Could the NHS fund Beresford Lodge Residential Care Home's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Beresford Lodge provides residential care for up to 26 people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 14 people were using the service. The home has safeguarding policies and staff training in place to protect people from abuse, with risk assessments carried out to keep residents safe while respecting their choices. Medicines are stored safely and staff are competent in their use. The provider maintains infection control standards through appropriate PPE use and cleanliness levels.
Staff support people to eat and drink according to their preferences and dietary needs, using tools like fluid monitoring and working with healthcare professionals when concerns arise. Care is personalised, with staff treating residents with dignity and respect. People's individual choices and lifestyles are valued, and both residents and relatives are involved in decision-making and care reviews.
