Lenore Care Home

Lenore care home in Whitley Bay accommodates up to 23 people with mental health issues who require personal care and support. At inspection, all 23 places were occupied. Residents enjoyed living at the home and were supported by staff with positive approaches to care who helped them pursue their interests. The provider maintained clear safeguarding policies and systems that staff understood and applied, working openly with external partners to keep people safe. Health and safety risks were properly assessed and reviewed, with action plans in place to mitigate them. The environment was clean and safe, and the provider was undertaking refurbishment work to improve infection prevention and control measures and expand residents' choices. Staff recruitment followed safe procedures with appropriate pre-employment checks completed.
