Kendal House

Kendal House accommodates up to 24 older people in Whitley Bay, providing personal care for those with varying needs, including some living with dementia. At inspection, 20 residents were using the service.

People felt relaxed and at home in a welcoming, personalised environment that was well maintained. Staff knew residents well and interacted with them warmly and affectionately, working calmly throughout the home. Both residents and relatives consistently praised how caring the staff were.

Risk assessments were in place and staff understood them well, working proactively to anticipate and reduce risks that residents faced.
