Eothen Residential Homes - Whitley Bay

Eothen provides accommodation for up to 35 people requiring support with personal care, many of whom are living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 33 people were using the service.

Staff demonstrated strong commitment during the coronavirus outbreak, working additional hours to maintain safe staffing levels without relying on agency workers. Senior leaders provided good support to the team. The service implemented robust infection control measures, including temperature checks and health screening questions for all visitors at reception. Ample PPE and handwashing facilities were available throughout the home, supported by clear signage.
