Beach House

Beach House is a care home accommodating up to seven people in an adapted building in a residential area of Poole. The home provides personal care but does not offer nursing care. At the time of inspection, all seven registered places were occupied.

Inspectors observed strong infection prevention and control practices. Clear written guidance was available at the entrance for all visitors, with masks provided and a system ensuring visitors were escorted to wash their hands. The home had separate zoned areas for putting on and removing personal protective equipment and used different entrances for family members to maintain safety. Stringent cleaning schedules were in operation throughout the home, with a nominated lead for infection prevention and control. People requiring self-isolation were supported well during their time away from communal areas.
