Bank House Residential Care Home

Bank House provides personal care to up to 33 older people and those living with dementia, with 23 residents at the time of inspection. However, inspectors found significant concerns regarding residents' autonomy and rights. People were not supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, and staff did not consistently support them in the least restrictive way possible. The service's policies and systems did not adequately support this practice. Additionally, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards were not in place for all residents who needed them, raising concerns about the protection of vulnerable individuals' rights and freedoms.
