Genesis Residential Home

Genesis provides residential care and accommodation for up to 14 people with mental health needs. At inspection, 11 people were using the service. Staff encourage residents' independence while maintaining appropriate safeguards, with risk assessments in place to support this approach. The home has sufficient staffing levels, and staff receive training including safe medicine administration. Medicines are stored and managed securely, and strong infection prevention and control practices protect residents from health risks.

Residents describe the atmosphere as family-like and feel comfortable and confident in their care. Staff are noted as caring and respectful, and residents are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. The home's policies and systems support this person-centred approach.
