Avon View provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 81 people, including older people and those living with dementia. Inspectors found the home overall Good, with medicines managed safely and staff understanding people's rights and preferences well. People and relatives spoke warmly of the care, describing staff as friendly, dedicated and supportive.

However, the CQC found governance systems were not always effective at identifying shortfalls, and staffing levels were not always sufficient to meet people's needs. The provider responded during the assessment by introducing new oversight systems and exploring tools to determine safer staffing numbers.
