About Astley Hall

Astley Hall is a nursing care home in West Northamptonshire, providing support for older people, including those living with dementia and physical frailty. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Astley Hall is a care home with nursing in registered to support up to 83 older people, including those living with dementia and physical frailty. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding breaches relating to safe care, staffing and governance. Care records did not always reflect people's needs, oversight was inconsistent, and some people and relatives said staffing shortfalls led to delayed call bell responses and compromised dignity.

Inspectors found staff were kind, caring and treated people with respect, and the home was clean, well-maintained and personalised. People felt safe and spoke positively about staff, though care could feel task-focused at times. The provider's management team responded openly to concerns and had begun making improvements.
