Ashford House

This residential care home accommodates 50 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia, with capacity for up to 54 residents. The service maintains safety through established systems and policies, with safeguarding incidents appropriately managed and referred to relevant professionals. Staff receive regular safeguarding training to identify different types of abuse, and individual risks are systematically identified, assessed and managed with recorded guidance for staff reference.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the home implemented additional protective measures including separate entrances to minimise foot traffic. When visits were restricted, the home organised additional video and phone calls to support residents' mental wellbeing. Once visits resumed, a booking procedure was introduced requiring health questionnaires, temperature checks and testing for visitors to maintain safety.
