Derwent Lodge Care Centre

Derwent Lodge Care Centre accommodates up to 65 people, mostly older adults including some living with dementia. At inspection, 62 people were resident at the service. People expressed happiness with the care they received and felt their needs were met, maintaining good relationships with staff. Relatives confirmed the quality of care was good and appreciated being involved and well informed about their loved ones.

The service maintained adequate staffing levels with staff reporting good morale and support from management. Staff had access to comprehensive training and regular opportunities to meet with managers, who were described as working alongside the team and providing consistent leadership. Medicines were managed safely throughout the service.
