Arboretum Nursing Home

Arboretum Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 54 people, supporting younger adults and older people with dementia, sensory impairment and physical disabilities. At inspection, 46 people were using the service. Risks to people's health and wellbeing had been assessed and monitored, and safeguarding systems were in place to keep people safe. Staff knew about risks and followed assessments to meet people's needs, with people feeling safe and supported. The home employed enough staff who were recruited safely.

The environment was clean and well maintained, with staff following infection control procedures in line with national guidance. However, improvements were required in recording and responding to people's concerns, and in how the provider used information from people and relatives to drive improvements. Communication with health and social care professionals also needed to be more timely.
