Parklands Court Care Home

Parklands Court is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to older people, some living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults. The service operates across three purpose-built single storey buildings, each with garden access. At inspection, 55 people were using the service.

Medicine management systems were not always safe, and some people experienced delays in care and support due to insufficient staffing availability. While systems existed to promote learning from incidents, they were not always effective. Staff understood how to escalate safety concerns and risks were assessed and managed appropriately. However, governance processes and quality audits had not driven significant improvement, and communication from the provider was poor, negatively affecting how people, relatives and staff viewed the home.
