Abbotswood Court

Abbotswood Court accommodates up to 63 people, providing care for adults over 65, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 52 people were using the service. The home had implemented comprehensive infection prevention measures, including automated entrance doors to reduce touch points and an automated sanitising station. Visitors were required to answer health screening questions and have their temperature checked before entry, with an electronic signing-in system in place. The home facilitated safe visiting through three large garden gazebos with social distancing during summer months, and a separate visiting room with its own garden entrance available in winter. Communication aids such as a Perspex screen and hearing loop were installed in the visiting area to support conversations while maintaining distance, with an ozone machine used to clean the space after each visit.
