Squirrels

Squirrels provides residential care and accommodation for up to nine autistic people and people with learning disabilities. The service operates across two floors in one building and was at full capacity with nine residents at the time of inspection.

The home maintains strong infection control measures to protect residents from COVID-19, including enhanced cleaning protocols and appropriate use of personal protective equipment. Staff work with residents to promote social distancing and testing where possible, carefully considering each person's level of understanding and taking account of how changes might affect their anxiety and wellbeing.

A positive culture exists at the service. Relatives reported being happy with the care their loved ones receive.
