Yewtree Care Limited t/a Yewtree Nursing Home

Yewtree Nursing Home, in West Sussex, provides nursing and personal care for up to 40 people, including those with clinical nursing needs, end of life care, dementia and learning disabilities. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, following an assessment prompted by concerns about safety and management. Inspectors found breaches of legal regulations relating to safe care, person-centred care, dignity and respect, and governance, with risks not always well managed and care not always dignified or tailored to individual needs.

There was no registered manager in post, though the current manager intended to apply. On a more positive note, inspectors found enough staff with the right skills, safe medicines support, good nutrition, and staff who worked well as a team. People and relatives spoke positively about feeling safe, listened to, and well cared for.
