About Wymeswold Manor

Wymeswold Manor, in Leicestershire, is a residential home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 32 older adults, including people living with dementia. The CQC found the service required improvement overall, with safety rated inadequate. Inspectors identified breaches relating to risk management, medicines, staffing, the environment and governance, and found care plans and checks were not always robust enough to keep people safe.

Staff were found to be kind, caring and respectful, and people said they felt safe and enjoyed the food provided. However, people had limited involvement in decisions about their care, activities were lacking, and some experienced delays getting help due to staff being stretched. The provider has been asked to submit an action plan to address the concerns found.
