Woodside Residential Care Home

Woodside Residential Care Home provides personal care and accommodation for up to 40 people, most of whom are living with dementia. Following an earlier inspection that identified six breaches of regulation, the CQC found the provider had resolved five of these, including issues around risk, infection control, safeguarding and recruitment. A continued breach remained around good governance, with more work needed to embed improvements and ensure audits reliably identify shortfalls.

Inspectors found staff were kind, knowledgeable and person-centred, following good medicines practice and working well with health professionals. People and relatives spoke positively about the food, activities and cleanliness, and felt safe and well cared for. Staffing levels were generally sufficient, though the registered manager was reviewing rotas to address busier periods.
