About Riverlea House

Riverlea House is a residential care home in Kent, providing personal care for older people and those living with dementia. The Care Quality Commission's most recent findings on the service are set out below.

This residential care home provides personal care to 36 older people and people living with dementia, with capacity for 44 residents across one adapted building. Inspectors found strong infection prevention and control practices in place. Visitors received clear guidance on procedures and personal protective equipment requirements upon arrival, while staff had received appropriate training and were observed wearing PPE in line with government guidance.

Donning and doffing stations were positioned throughout the service. The home maintained high cleaning standards with increased frequency during the pandemic, particularly for high touch point areas. Staff undertook regular testing, including lateral flow tests three times weekly before shifts, with positive cases remaining absent to prevent transmission to residents and colleagues.
