Woodside

Woodside is a small residential care home providing support for up to four people aged 18-65 with complex medical, physical and learning needs. The home operates from a purpose-built bungalow with a large level access garden and was at full capacity during inspection.

The home had implemented robust infection control measures, including lateral flow tests, temperature checks and vaccination status confirmation for visitors. When community infection rates were high, the registered manager proactively visited local shops and recorded videos of products to help residents make informed choices about their preferences. Relatives reported being actively encouraged to maintain contact with their family members during this period.
