Woodlands Care Home

Woodlands Care Home provides personal care to older people and people living with dementia, accommodating 55 residents in one adapted building. During inspection, 54 people were using the service. Inspectors found that medicine management systems were not always safe, with medicines not consistently delivered or booked in promptly, meaning people did not always receive their prescribed medicines on time. Recommendations were made regarding effective recording of people's needs in care plans and the implementation of auditing systems.

Staff received training to recognise potential risks and signs of abuse, with managers regularly assessing and reviewing safety risks to residents' wellbeing. Staffing levels were deemed safe and reviewed regularly. Staff appropriately used personal protective equipment when supporting people, and systems were in place to promote healthy lifestyles and meet residents' health needs.
