Wingates Residential Home

Wingates Residential Home accommodates 36 people in single rooms and is located on a main road in Westhoughton, Bolton, near transport links and motorway access. The home has a car park, garden, and patio area. At inspection, 35 people were living permanently at the home with one on respite care.

The service maintains systems to keep people safe, with staff receiving appropriate training. Health and safety checks and required certificates are current and up to date. Risk assessments are documented for both general and individual needs and reviewed regularly. The home is clean and fresh with infection control measures in place. Medicines are managed safely. However, audits are completed inconsistently, and the service has been recommended to implement a more consistent audit programme.
